Fee and Payment
I offer standard 50-53 minute Individual Therapy Sessions for $135. 80-minute sessions are $200. I accept cash, check, HSA, credit and debit cards. Time spent in any way on legal proceedings is billed at $350 per hour.
Payment is due at time of service. Clients who elect to regularly pay by card will be enrolled in autopay and charges will be processed on the evening of your appointment. Clients may not schedule future appointments until outstanding balance is paid in full. A fee of $33 will be charged for any returned checks.
As part of my commitment to equity and accessibility up to 30% of active clients may access reduced rate appointments in any given time period. Reduced rates begin at $80 per 50-minute session, except a limited number of Open Path clients.
The Open Path Psychotherapy Collective is a non-profit nationwide network of mental health professionals dedicated to providing in-office mental health care to individuals, couples, children, and families in need. Open Path requires a one-time $49 fee for lifetime access to all therapists in the network. Open Path slots are reserved for individuals with limited structural and familial support and range from $30-60. Open Path appointments may be available between the hours of 10am-3pm.
Reduced rate and Open Path spots will be time-limited, to be mutually reviewed in 6-12 months.
Temporary Subsidy: For clients experiencing heightened financial duress, a temporary subsidy may be available. This subsidy is meant to ensure continuity of care especially in times of extraordinary financial hardship such as job loss, deterioration in health, heightened challenge due to systemic inequity, death of a partner, etc. Subsidies will be available in 1-3 month increments.
Insurance: I do not participate in insurance panels at this time, so I cannot bill your insurance directly. However, if your insurance covers costs for Out-Of-Network or Non-Preferred Providers, you may be reimbursed for part or all of your session fee, in this case, you may request a superbill you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Superbills are generated monthly.
It is up to you to check with your insurance provider about your coverage for out of network providers and services. You retain full responsibility for payment for services if your insurance company denies reimbursement. Health insurance will not pay for no-shows or late cancellations and some will not cover remote sessions (telephone/telehealth video).
